This very successful company, leading in the field of cash registers, appointed our company to Project Manage their transition by bringing together sub-production locations of the factory to one area. Cashbases covers 70,000 sq ft and created logistical problems in terms of all their locations. We were tasked with designing the whole process from goods-in right through to despatch. We met the challenges with relative ease and delivered the completed factory on budget and on time. Shortly after delivery of this project, Cashbases won the Best Factory Award in 2001.



This project was unique in that it was the first time we were asked to engage with the staff to determine how they wanted their working environment to look and feel. We held many consultations with department heads, and factory staff to understand how to make their environments less labour intensive and more productive. Initial layouts and working drawings were consulted on, and once agreed, the staff directed us on the colours, and materials they wanted us to use. We designed and implemented the layout of the production lines from goods-in right up to final despatch of the orders. At the same time we redesigned and refurbished the old production line and updated the area for it to be used as the new headquarters for Dan Technology. The showroom was also redesigned to give it a more high tech modern look and feel and created the right environment in which to showcase the products being sold by the company.

The end result was not only pleasing for the Directors of the company, but very welcomed by the staff.
